It is never too early for children and adolescents to develop healthy habits to carry into adulthood. Active children who stretch often experience decreased injuries and increased range of motion. Both are excellent for activities such as cheerleading, football, martial arts and ice skating, to name a few. Stretching and core strengthening help to counteract poor posture from computer and cell phone use and increase blood flow to the muscles.
Stretch Rx will create a stretching and exercise plan that addresses the specific needs of each child. Like adults, children have varying activity levels and needs. This is why our practitioners do not use a one size fits all plan for each child. Stretches and exercises are used to target areas of tightness and weakness to ensure that each client, young or old, experiences the maximum benefit.
